But it was always engaging to watch Kaede hang onto to smallest thread of hope, and spreading it through her love of piano music. This game goes into really dark themes, with these characters struggling in the deepest pits of despair. ![]() I won't say too much more, since that would be going into spoiler territory, but this game was an absolute journey worth experiencing, just to see how Kaede grows with everyone else around her. Some were definitely weaker than others, but still it was all pretty solid. It takes a really good writer to construct such a solid web of solid relationships. It felt like she had a solid connection with everyone, which in turn made me feel more connected with them. I am absolutely shocked at how much chemistry there is between her and the other fifteen characters. ![]() She has depth, character growth, and an enjoyable personality. Hajime was better, but still, nothing groundbreaking.īut Kaede is a whole thousand steps against them. The other games admittedly had very standard protagonists, with Makoto being the worst of them.
